Waterfall Country Park And Ride Service

posted in: Blog | 0

During the summer of 2022 visitors to Waterfall Country will be offered a free park and ride service between the town of Glynneath, the village of Pontneddfechan, and Gwaun Hepste Car Park, two of the main starting points for the walks in Waterfall Country. The service will run on Saturdays, Sundays and Bank Holiday Monday.

Neath Port Talbot Council is working in partnership with Brecon Beacons National Park Authority, Powys County Council and local transport operators DJ Thomas, and Forge Travel to operate the Park and Ride service with the aim of easing parking pressures on the local community within Waterfall Country.

Visitors are able to catch the free service from the Lancaster Close Car Park in Glynneath Town Centre and via designated bus stops between Glynneath and the Village Hall in Pontneddfechan. In response to visitor feedback, this year will also see the introduction of a second bus service operating between Glynneath and Gwaun Hepste Car Park which is located within the National Park and is the starting point for the Four Falls Trail (please see downloads below for more information).

The town of Glynneath has many independent shops and cafes which are well worth exploring as part of your visit to Waterfall Country. Please help us to support the local community and our beautiful environment by utilising this free service this summer.
